Children’s show entries are divided into 3 groups. Within
each age division are 3 or 4 classes. Each child can enter
as many classes as they want in their age group. Entries are a
combination of materials and skills, including collages, using paper,
card, plant parts etc. Making models from junk and painting/
drawing pictures. There is no charge for entering into the
children’s classes. Entries are taken to the show field on show day
before judging begins. Rosettes are awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place
for each class and can be collected after 11am and worn around the show
ground if wished. Entries and certificates should be collected after 4:30pm.

Under 5’s:
CH1: Make a collage using coloured paper of a canal boat.
CH2: Use hand and finger prints to produce a picture of a tree.
CH3: Paint an egg box in your favourite colours.
Aged 5-7 years:
CH4: Collect leaves, twigs, petals and seeds to create
a picture of a flower or plant.
CH5: Make a model of a zoo,.no bigger than
30cm x 40cm.
CH6: Paint a picture of a circus.
CH7: Make an animal using vegetables.
Aged 7-14 years:
CH8: Design your own theme park,
either paint, draw or make a collage.
CH9: Make a model of a carnival float
measuring no bigger than 30 x 40 cm.
CH10: Paint or draw a picture of your
favourite place.
CH11: Create a space monster!
